Details:
Project: This entailed the complex redevelopment of the shop and upper floor offices. Two adjacent building were joined together with large openings being formed in the former party wall. To avoid temporary foundations some of the framing was formed using a combined steel and reinforced concrete ground beam.
The project also included a shallow stepped staircase string, manufactured from a 150mm deep steel universal column section. This spanned a distance in excess of 6m allowing a clear span below.
