Details:
This project involved the refurbishment and upgrading of Acoustic Insulation and the provision of a suspended lighting grid.
This was an existing television studio used by Channel 5 for its production of The Bill and Family Affairs.
Working closely with the client and the acoustic engineers, we undertook the structural design and specification of these works.
We surveyed the existing steel frame and roof trusses to determine the member sizes and geometry. This allowed us to model the structure for the increased loadings in three-dimensions using our structural analysis software. Rigorous analysis quickly identified the areas that required strengthening.
The project was completed within the tight budget and time constraints and to the satisfaction of the client.
