Springett Associates can offer both designs and recommendations for historic buildings. We work sympathetically with the structures in order to conserve them for the future.
Our approach to historic buildings conservation is one of great care. Our knowledge and experience allow us to recommend materials and methods that are suitable to both the property and the work that needs to be carried out with consideration of the future of the property.
We work with the appropriate bodies, for example English Heritage, archaeologists and local authorities, to create the best solution for the property and community. We work to current building conservation ethics and conventions as set out in the National Planning Policy Framework and English Heritage Practice Guide, as well as having considerable knowledge to work within legal requirements.
Examples of our work on historic and listed buildings include:
Pond Cottage, Wilmington
Spring Cottage, Westham
